TO LOVE A MONSTER

TO LOVE A MONSTER is a TTRPG for 2 players, about monsters and lovers and hiding who you are. You will play as the MONSTER, trying to keep your true nature hidden from the monster-hunting HERO that you love. Through a romantic scene between you, you will both have the chance to guess the other's secret words: representations of the weaknesses you try to hide. You win by finding out the other person's secrets — but is winning really what you want?

The original version can be found for free here, where it was made as part of the 2024 200 Word RPG Jam. This version is updated with more clear rules, as well as providing an easily printable version!

This TTRPG intentionally plays with the idea of game rules, and how they effect play. Thus, they are intentionally vague in places.
